What exactly is Viz-Ability?
Viz-Ability is an award winning, résumé-forward initiative celebrating mid-senior level disabled creatives working above and below the line across film, TV, and animation throughout the Greater L.A. area that first premeired at thie historic Radford Studio Lot in 2025.
When is the deadline to apply?
The 2026/2027 application season is from July 11th - November 11th, 2026 by 11:59 P.M.
Who can apply?
Viz-Ability is focused on supporting mid-to-senior level professionals in film, TV, and animation. Mid-to-senior level professionals are those with approximately 5 - 10 years of experience, or whose work demonstrates a comparable level of expertise and quality gained over that period.
Do I need to live in Los Angeles?
While we focus on Los Angeles Visionaries, we welcome talented creatives from other cities and states, with a priority for SoCal locals. International applicants should hold off for now. We plan to expand beyond LA and include locals nationwide and internationally in the future.
Is there a fee?
No. Applying to Viz-Ability is completely free, and there are no application or participation fees.
If anyone claiming to represent Viz-Ability asks you to pay a fee, they are not affiliated with our organization. Please do not send money or personal financial information, and report the incident to our team immediately.

Yes! We are proud to announce a dedicated section for students this year, focusing on disabled storytellers in high school and college.
What's the Application Process Like?
The application process is simple. Go to our applicant page and fill out the appropriate application(s) you wish to be considered for. Once the application is sent, the appropriate Viz-Ability representative will reach out within 2-3 business days to schedule you for an interview and will walk you through the rest of the process and what to expect.
Do I need to submit gallery materials for my application?
We do require you to send us samples of what you've done either through a demo reel, website, social media account, portfolio, etc. but the materials that you'd want to be presented at the Opening Night ceremony will be discussed during your interview and the months leading up to the event itself.
What are you open to showcasing?

How will things be displayed?
Do I retain ownership of any items I submit for display?
Absolutely! All submitted materials remain the property of their rightful owners and retain their original copyrights. Viz-Ability does not claim ownership of any applicant's work, images, or intellectual property.
